EAT CLEAN, EAT HEALTHY!

How many times have you heard of someone telling you, “Stop taking fried food!” or “Reduce your sugar intake” or worst “Have you tried this product? You can see difference in your weight in less than 3 weeks!” Oh God, I can’t even explain how much I despise hearing this from people, who love to give free advices. Honestly, I know that giving advices are easy, but to be at the receiving ends are just no fun. You see, losing weight to look attractive is one thing but to lose it in order to stay healthy is another, which I believe is the vital reason to watch what we eat.

Again, it’s easy to say than to be done. To watch what you eat is actually one of the most tedious and frustrating thing ever because eating is an absolute joy but to curb one activity that you enjoy most is a complete torture, right?

Okay, so here’s a trick. Why not plan out a decent menu for the week that includes whole grains, lots of green vegetables, and contains no sugar or anything processed? Guess what it’s easier than you think! Let’s check out the proposed menu shall we?

For morning breakfast, why don’t you opt for oatmeal, every alternate day? Oatmeal is considered as one of the best breakfast ever, thanks to the high level of fiber as well as protein. Oatmeal too stays in your stomach longer and keeps you full for a long time, prevent you from eating any high calorie food in the morning. The best part is oatmeal functions as your blood sugar stabilizer and reduces your risk of diabetes, how awesome is that? Other than that, every other day try to throw in more fun in your breakfast by preparing waffles, pancakes or eggs. This will keep you motivated and your family wouldn't even notice what you are up to!

For healthy lunch, prepare yourself delicious egg, tasty tuna, chicken salad, lunch meat sandwiches or green salad with lots of eggs and veggies, see what I just did there? Include a big portion of veggies in every meal because our protein needs all the protein and vitamins. Not only that, you will also stay fit and healthy by consuming vegetables every now and then. Don’t forget to alternate these entire dishes every day.

Dinners are always tricky because we have longer hours to enjoy our meal and this is when everything goes wrong. So, why not opt for something healthy as well as yummy for your dinner? Having Italian chicken and garlic soup with wheat bread sticks will not only keep your tummy full but also happy. Other than that, a good dinner as homemade chicken nuggets, baked potatoes, steamed broccoli and steamed cauliflower will also provide you enough protein and supplement your body with sufficient nourishment. Once in a while, don’t forget to have some delicious supreme pizza on whole wheat crust as well as some homemade Mac-n-Cheese with whole grain pasta with refreshing fruit salad. If you have some cravings for chicken, go for roasted chicken legs and thighs compliment with brown rice pilaf and with some spinach salad. If you are a fan of curry, try to make green chicken curry with brown rice, I've tried them and they are simply delicious! If you are not very keen on cooking up a storm, make some chili and cornbread and enjoy the simple dish as your dinner!

Snacking is a valid hobby if you ask me, but to snack on junk foods is are super bad for your health. So the next time you going to have a snack, why don’t you try to snack on fruit and yogurt smoothies that are low on calories, bonus point if you add some spinach! Also you can try to snack on fruits or nuts, cottage cheese and pineapple tidbits or any veggies and hummus.


Mm.. All these yummy food are not only delicious but also very tempting! Give them a try for couple of weeks and feel the difference starting today! Eat Clean, Eat Healthy!
